I’m on Chapter 20, and so far, this book is less “dark romance” and more “extended humiliation marathon with a side of teenage angst.” I came for power plays, tension, and intrigue. Instead, I got a monotonous loop of degradation disguised as a Dom/sub dynamic—except there’s no seduction, no real chemistry. If I wanted endless misery, I’d rewatch my Wi-Fi disconnect during an important call.
