He was shivering then praising his wits for remembering things then lowkey not like caring if he left his room alone with the evidence. At the station you could tell his pride started showing after receiving the promissory claim bc he had thought they caught him but ofc he thinks he’s so slick so he’s like YASSS.. also I wonder what he’ll do in a short time before they search his house

He finally murdered her. He's not convincing ANYONE that he didn't have it all planned out and WAS going to do it. Also killing her sister was not in his plan, literally he only killed her bc he wanted to protect himself. HE IS VERY PRIDEFUL.. he doesn't even see it. He keeps saying he's being pushed to do it because of all the coincidences.. how everything is aligning... LIES FUCKING LIES. Why? is the real question

The way his friend is living under the same conditions as him, yet they’re both very different (given from the description thus far).. Also the dream with the horse??? literally his situation except he’s the beater and the pawn lady is the horse. Also, the pawn lady’s sister reminds me of Donya as both of them give everything to their sibling.

Raskolnikov is not mentally well.. the narration clearly shows that and so do his thoughts. He’s like “I would never do that.. would I??” Type beat, but, of course, we know he will. He also doesn’t outwardly say what he’ll do. Lots of inner conflict. Also already after reading Ready’s introduction, I see how Ras’s environment and family could play a role in his character + mentality
