I’m sorry but the Lion being scared and nervous and then saying, “Let’s sing a song.” and everyone just responds with a resounding “No.” is one of the funniest things I have read this year.

Pg. 357, “People who claim that they are evil are usually no worse than the rest of us… It’s people who claim that they are good, or any way better than the rest of us, that you have to be wary of.”

Soooo when was someone going to tell me that Fiyero is canonically black in the books??!?!?

Case in point, one of the funniest lines in this book has to be, “To get back to my youth, I would do anything in the world, except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable”

I swear to God, I think Oscar Wilde has some of the hardest lines (and funniest lines) ever written in the English language in this book!!

“Skepticism is the beginning of faith”

“We can have in life but one great experience at best, and the secret of life is to reproduce that experience as often as possible”
