The author only mentioned 2 qualities (Din & Character) to be sought in husband as opposed to 9 in women (Righteousness, character, virginity, Fertility, Loving Attitude, Contentment, Innocence, Beauty, Compatibility).

But I believe there's more to be said than only just "Din and Character", especially when nowadays religiosity is measured only through the ritualistic aspect of the religion. Here's my addition:

Anti-colonialism on the political level has proved to be a kind of opium of the people, preventing them from noticing that what matters most is the way in which their minds have been colonized.

Compare the creed of righteous, pious common folk with the creed of theologians and debaters: you will see that the common man’s belief is like a towering mountain, unmoved by calamities or lightning bolts, while the belief of the theologian who guards his creed with various rational arguments is like a thread blowing to and fro in the wind. It's quite appalling to see how smut/dark romantasy spice novels are so normalized among many muslimahs. How is reading any different from watching it? Most of these popular romance novels are filled with filth and explicit sex scenes. Never seen any muslim glamorizing erotica/porn except for these hijabi bookstagrammers/booktokers. It's clear cut fahsha. It ruins your conception of relationship, romance and love.

An excellent primer in Hanafi Fiqh. The translator's footnotes are quite helpful in understanding the text. There are some parts that are hard to understand without the help of a teacher so I would recommend watching Ustadh Tabraze Azam's explanation of it. Here's the link:
