This is a terrific book about four pioneers of baseball who were the driving the force behind Cleveland’s last World Series victory in 1948. My father would have been in high school in 1948 and following the season as it unfolded. And he would have been enjoying the Cleveland Browns’ third AAFC title in three years. I wonder if he thought It would always be that way?
