Oh boy...

I'm not sure I like the second person narrative for the letters. I'm slowly piecing things together, but starting out this was really confusing! I do enjoy the world building and the beautiful prose though.

So I've been reading this at my house... alone... and I totally just jumped at a hoodie that was out of place in the next room thinking someone is in my house. Safe to say this book has pulled me into the world!

I'm hoping this will be the perfect creepy, scary read to start out October.

I WILL finish this tonight.

I'm loving this novel. It's about time I gave it the dedication to finish it.

Ugh. I knew this was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier to read! :(

I wasn't expecting to be so enthralled with this... but definitely okay with it! It's been a while since I've really loved a book.

This is much more... adult than I was expecting. But I like it.

I love the absolute nerdiness that is this book, but I love that it also tackles mental illness and other serious topics.

Literally laughed out loud. I love rainmaker. I love LadyConstellation. That is all.

So far so good. :)

I really tend to rate a book based on how well it keeps me engaged and wanting to read more. This is definitely a book that makes me want to continue reading to find out what happens. Flying through it is my best indicator of how much I enjoy reading a novel.

I love the audio book to this, but I haven't had much time to listen. I'm going to want to reread this one. There are things I have missed.

I was really enjoying this at the beginning and now I feel like it's been kind of slow and dragging. Maybe I'm in a different mood compared to when I first started.

I really love the idea of this novel and I'm mostly enjoying it so far. I love Lottie's aunt. I love that books are incorporated. I'm not sure about Sam yet. I don't feel like he's a real person. His voice is lacking a lot.

Sigh... So begins all my school "readings" BLEH!

I'm getting slight Fangirl vibes from this, due to Aunt Helen having written a very popular fantasy series and leaving bits of that story at the beginning of each chapter. But I think I'm enjoying this a lot more than Fangirl. I love that we are dealing with loss, grieving, and anxiety in particular. I feel like the author is handling it in a great way.

Slowly making my way through this. Not sure what to make of it yet, but I mostly am enjoying it.

It was a little difficult getting through his grandpa's passing for the first part of this. Brought back a lot of memories and feelings, but I figure if an author can make you feel that deeply connected to a character by a life event then they're doing something right.

I'm not sure why I was so intimidated by this for so long. I mean 600 pages is a behemoth of a book, but it's going quickly!

Noooo! I wish this would have been a series out when I was younger. I would have loved this when I was a kid!

Really enjoying this more than I thought I would!

This doesn't feel like a children's book! It feels too real and scary!

I kinda gave up on this a few months ago. And now I'm determined to finish it. I don't really remember what was going on, but I don't want to start all over because I don't think I actually care that much lol
