Max's drawing seemed like a political cartoon. I stared at it for a good minute because it was so haunting. I am so excited that Rudy and Liesel are back together.

Hearing Death spoiling Rudys fate makes the whole book much more dark. "It's the machinations that wheel us there that aggravate,perplex,interest, and astound me." Death doesn't like mystery.

Max seems nice but I want to see Rudy again. I hope he and Leisel become closer.

Max's backstory is so interesting! I love the importance of the accordion and I respect Hans Huberman man more as more even if he didn't fight that day.

The Book Thief has stolen 2 more books in the past chapter. Also, Liesel has access to the mayors library which is amazing for her. The effects of war are slowly beginning to effect Liesel and her family. I wonder what new challenges they will have to face as the war progresses.

I'm loving this book more and more. I love the way that Death narrates the story and chooses to focus on one character at a time. You get attached to characters in a whole new way. The way that the author slightly hints at the favoritism that Death has for Liesel is great.

This book is amazing! The sensory details are superb and make you feel like you are actually living on their street. Such a great story line and Rudy is my favorite character of all time.

So far the book is very captivating. It took me a while to figure out that the book was being narrated by death but I love how unique of a concept that is. I watched the movie and I heard great reviews about the book so Im excited to read it.

I finished reading this book and I was a little let down. Everyone praised this book but I found it to be very cheesy and overly dramatic however, some parts were amazingly adorable. The ending left the reader with lots of questions and, to me, it felt incomplete.

I'm wondering if Eleanor's mom is going to be OK with her leaving and if Park will ever see her again. I like Park's parents a lot and I think that his dad has eased up since the beginning of the book. How will this book end?

Eleanor is in big trouble with her stepdad. Will he send her away again?

Well Park and Eleanor sure are having a great time but their parents are not. Parks mom and dad are fighting and I hope that they can resolve their disagreements. I wonder what happened to Josh's "girlfriend"… maybe the nintendo was closer to his heat than she was.

Things seem to be going well. Park is rocking the eyeliner and Eleanor and his mom are making good progress. If Eleanors siblings tell their mom then this streak might change.

I wonder if Parks mother will ever approve of Eleanor. Every time I mention this book to someone who has read it they say its very sad. I'm still waiting for that sad moment.

Park just got into a fight with Steve. Will they still be friends? Will Park's parents have a different feeling towards Eleanor now that she was the cause of this fight? I think that they will become closer because of it.

Eleanor and Park's relationship is very cute but very sappy. I wonder how Park's 'friendship' with Cal is going to change now that he is spending so much time with Eleanor. What does Eleanor's dad want because it can't just be a babysitting job?

I like the book so far but I still don't understand Eleanor's living situation. When will E&P talk to each other?
