The more I read, the better it gets, and it was already really good from the start

Ok cool so we’ve gone from a child everyone wants to kill to a child everyone is convinced is evil to a child everyone wants to kill AGAIN to a child revered by everyone for having a gift of a god then we travel FORWARD in time for half a chapter and now she’s an adult(?) but now she’s a kid again and is doing a ritual for the water god

Ok so they actually handled the whole age difference thing and they made the god out to be an asshole so ok cool it’s actually going better

Only a handful of pages in and the author’s experience with undiagnosed ADHD is already just like mine 😭

Huda really is an incredible storyteller; I love how she makes her books accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience

Final book! This series has been giving me such whiplash though with how much I like it and how uncomfortable it makes me from time to time but Volume 10 has given me hope
