Ooooh honey, the drama of artists.

I was excited about this book because I secretly love teenage romance, but then I read about the criticism it’s received from Asian American writers and critics and don’t think I can finish it. There were some moments that gave me pause but I played off naively thinking that the author was a woman of color. I was wrong. Yikes.

I love that this was written by a Black woman.
