Such great writing! Mark Twain researched this biography for 10 years and studied all the primary and secondary sources he could find.

Very interesting story about a young sailor who wants to learn about the big things of life, so he goes after educating himself by voraciously reading everything he can find in a library, and discussing these issues he's learning with a high society girl that is is totally smitten with. Many think this is a thinly veiled biography of Jack London.

Still LMAO nearly every page!
