I love everything Howard Pyle wrote

Just finished the iconic section of BF selecting, string towards and monitoring his weekly performance of his list of most important virtues. Will likely be the highlight of the book.

The magic hasn't grabbed me and I'm more than half done. Many tell me I'm at the point where the book gets great. Why does it have to be such a banal slog for more than 50%? Probably done with it as there are way more fish in the sea.

Still liking this YA book a lot!

Fun, authentic romp through England's misguided efforts to rule India through force of arms. Seen mainly through the eyes of Sergeant Richard Sharpe.

I've wanted to read this for decades. Now that I'm finally into it, I'm absorbed by the story and the very contemplative style it is told in.

Almost as well written as the first 3. This new author who took over after Larsson's death is doing pretty well to keep the same punch and ambience of the originals.

So far I'm liking this a lot, but I've been a Tim Kennedy fan for several years.

I'm reading this middle school level book about the Holocaust for my students. It's painfully well done with an undertone of innocent hope and love of family.
