Ugh, I had high hopes for this one, but there's some major pacing issues going on....

Definitely a slow burn.

This is definitely a lot more info dump-y than similar books (Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan Presents). As pointed out in the book, American kids don't learn Chinese history in school, so there is a *lot* of unfamiliar names and dynasties.

I really wish I could have seen the flocks.
