This is such a strange book. The world it builds is somehow one moment horrific and the other moment beautiful. It's quite a read.

This is a very strange book. But not in a bad way inherently? I'm unsure about how I feel about it. I think it's supposed to be magical realism but it almost feels like existential horror in a way.

I wanna finally learn how to properly read Russian but my vocab is terrible so it's children's books for now 😅 don't judge.

This book is a lot of fun. Would recommend. May finish it in one sitting

Somehow I'm both somewhat stressed out by this book and also don't care at all about the outcome. Hoping it will pull me in soon.

I'm not sure if it's the translation or if it's in the original text but I feel like something is missing. The story collection is in the vein of Murakami but for some reason doesn't deliver the same enthrallment. The first story in the book was interesting but the rest so far fall a bit short. Maybe there is some subtlety in the original language that is missed which can happen with translations.
