Reading this aloud with my partner little by little and having a blast. <3

My progress has slowed, though I'm reading this almost every night, in part because this part of the book has a lot of exercises in it and I am not really doing them (because I'm reading this book before bed, not at a time conducive to doing exercises). Right now I'm putting bookmarks on all the exercises I want to come back to.

So I got this book as an advance reader copy and am unfortunately nowhere near done with it. However, what is written so far is engaging, nuanced, & informative. More than conservation, this book is about narrative. What narrative those of us in the global north are told about the continent, how that differs from the narratives on the ground, and how the distance between those narratives dooms aid projects in Africa.

Finished reading Charmed Life with my partner; taking a break before reading Lives of Christopher Chant. :)

I'm loving reading the backstories of some of these episodes. :)

Really fascinating so far. It's given me so many ideas for contemplation, journalling, etc.
