I'm reading this book as background to a book chapter I'm writing on Hegel's occult influence on Charles Fort. But like others in its class - 'Natural Supernaturalism' and 'New Age Religions and Western Culture' - reading this book is an education in an entire field, in this case, German Hermeticism. Chapter 2 on the hermetic milieu of Hegel's early years (esp. Oertinger) is alone worth the price I paid for this book
