An older book that describes hunting man-eating tigers in the Sunderban of Bengali in the 1950s. Things have changed much in the intervening years and tigers are now protected in the Sunderban and the area is a UNESCO site

Welp, I’m just going to sob through this entire book.

This type of nature/travelogue always takes a me a while to get through the first few chapters. I spend a lot of time researching maps, photos, and background info until I feel I can truly “see” what the author is writing.
