Cleo and Magnus communicating silently gives me life. Actually, everything that has been happening the last few chapters have given me life. Almost-zombie Gaius is funny af, Magnus as always is lowkey hilarious and everyone else reacting to this whole thing is really entertaining. I hope, with all my heart, that Magnus and Cleo don't get into a fight at all, but I have a weird feeling that this happening won't last.

This is why I hate how Morgan Rhodes writes romance: it always happens behind the scenes, and we are suddenly reading a character be all like "they are so important to me, I have such deep feelings for them". The only romance we saw an inkling of development for was Magnus and Cleo and yet they still jumped a thousand steps in their own minds. I hate it here.

The fact that Cleo expects Magnus to tell her everything when she betrays him over and over again is laughable.

I just realized something that really broke my heart: Magnus is all alone. Nobody is there for him. And I mean nobody. Nobody is there to comfort him, nobody loves him or cares for his well-being, or worries when he's sad or injured. Gaius only loves himself, Cleo is too busy chasing her revenge, so is Lucia and Althea is dead. Nobody is there at all for him; and that's so heartbreaking.
