What I love about Cahill’s hinges of history, is that you can almost see the twinkle in his eye as he recalls each moment of influence and development in this human story. Each chapter carries with it respect and wonder. This seems to me especially lacking in other accounts of the middle ages or church history. All of these books are very interesting and enlightening.
