Just starting Chapter 7

Listening to the audiobook. It's really good so far.

DNF. I couldn't get into this I found it kind of boring for some reason. None of the characters stood out to me as interesting enough to focus on. It was beginning to feel like a chore instead of looking forward to reading. There are too many great books out there rather than force myself to finish this.

I'm not liking how this is written. There is no flow. it reminds me of reading The Sound and the Fury or Mrs. Dalloway wondering what the F is going on? She shifts from character to character, one thought to another in each paragraph. Sure some of her, what remind me of Facebook posts, are interesting, but this is a chore for me to read. Luckily it is short and could be read in one sitting

I got bored with this.

Boring so far. Probably won't finish.

On chapter 24 and I'm loving this book!

“‘Let’s get out of these wet clothes and into a dry martini,’” he said. “Robert Benchley.” I laughed. I was so relieved he wasn’t dead that I would have laughed at anything. “I’ve been waiting all my life to say that,” Frank said. (Nine years old)

This book is loaded with funny one-liners.

I'm on chapter 14 or 15 now and this book is totally creeping me out. HH The main character is repulsive and I guess that's how it's supposed to be but still it's gross to listen to him talk about young girls regardless of how beautifully written this is. I'm going to keep on till the end though. I am listening to Jeremy Irons narrate it so that helps.

I just could not get into this book. For some reason I just didn't care what happened and gave up about 3/4 of the way through.

getting used to the format. i hope the whole book isn't like this.

Hered to take the dated language and point of view. Sexism is blatant but I remind myself it's a product of the times. Interesting that it was probably one of the first major pieces of work but everyone got to read about what happened in the Holocaust and to the Jews. Gonna keep reading and try to ignore the sexist bullshit of that time.

Starting to listen to audio book.

This was dumb compared to the trilogy.

I can't not keep reading this series! So sad they are all gone from the trilogy, though. Hope this one is good.

I hated this to end. Great series, though Way of Kings is even better.
