This is such a disturbing reality. I am ashamed that Canada has not taken a quicker more progressive stance in getting rid of slavery witin the country.

A very insightful read. Shulamith hits on so many cultural oppressive norms. It is refreshing to read what I have felt all my life. Women and children are oppressed by men, and all people are oppressed by white men. It is sad, but the truth doesn't care about that. It only seeks to give us the reality, and what we do with it from then on, is up to us.
