This chapter is on dangerous women in the myths!
-Klytaimnestra is the real MVP so far, you go
-This is closely followed by Hecuba
-Medea raises closer to the plane of her father for her revenge, that’s incredible

And while yes, I can argue how he stayed in luscious lands and took all he could, including not being faithful to the wife he wanted dearly, despite hoping she waited for him, I really am inspired. I relate to the toil, the heartache, the seemingly never-ending journey that only gets worse as it goes. Hearing that after all of that, he gets his happy ending, is something I needed to hear. (3/end)

But not only to he keep forging ahead, even when he was all alone with the gods against him, for the sake of returning home and to his family, he succeeds. After every struggle and pain and tear shed, after all the blood and sweat and starvation, he /gets there./ His wife stayed loyal, his son grew strong, his home was standing firm. He gets the happy ending, after living 20 years of grief. (2/?)

I didn’t mention this in my reading update, but I still felt the need to say it here. Hearing Odysseus’s struggle, how he lost all of his men, had to survive shipwrecks and storms and monsters and vengeful gods just to go home, then had to hide from the wife he missed so dearly once he got there, to take care of the men trying to overtake him, is far more heart-wrenching than I expected. (1/?)
