Esther still comes of a little arrogant and mean girlish toward the other women but I’m starting to see more into her mind and how her thoughts are betraying her. Some can one thing and her mind turns it into meaning something else. You do feel for Esther, though she an be can be arrogant at times

Esther is desperate to leave this world behind and is unable to find joy in anything, just thoughts of ending it all.

There are some things in Esther that I see in myself, like tue fog analogy of wanting multiple paths but unable to choose on a direction.

Esther seems to be a little quick to judge others, especially Buddy who she had recently liked. There’s also a sense of arrogance with Esther, she appears to look down on those that seem to below her or her view of what her life should be according to her own mind.

Really have enjoyed the book so far, I did have some frustration with the level of denial a character had but I believe that was the authors intent.

Looking to re-ignite my desire for reading while supporting my local library. I’m 2025 I’d like ti attempt at least one book per month with a theme of Past and Present, meaning one month will be a book I enjoyed from my past and another month will be a new book from the present I want to read.
