What does it mean when you are restless at night after reading the beginning of a new book, and the last sentence you read is "In my heart I'm halfway to Maine."?

No matter your age, never lose the sense of adventure associated with an untamed heart. Let it burn with the intensity and innocence of youth. That feeling *is* life.

There comes a time in each of our lives where something awakens inside us. A whisper from the soul becomes a beckoning rally cry. Allow it to guide you closer to where you're meant to be.

I've hit that tipping point in the book where pages begin to turn themselves :-)

We're traveling at nearly 1000 mph with the spinning Earth while sitting still. Although we have no control over that, we can choose to slow down the speed of our thoughts and life to fully savor each moment presented to us.

Naysayers find a way to get under our skin and bruise us, even when our defenses are up. No matter how deep their punches may be felt, they can never take away our resolve. Or hope.

It's a wonderful moment when you're reading a novel and you realize the main character is fixing to migrate to a town in your metaphorical backyard. Can't wait to see how the author portrays Cocoa Beach :-)

Even after the first few chapters, I am drawn into the parallel stories of Tenley and Birdie. Separated in time by more than a century, I'm smitten with the way Rachel transitions her language from present day vernacular to early 20th century for each of the two main characters.
