While our ambitious plans may appear to crumble, succumbing to the weathering effects of the world surrounding us, the foundation is still strong and waiting for us to build our new castle upon it.

It's often difficult to close the book on memories from the past. It's okay to feel and hurt. There are kinder and more compassionate sentiments waiting for us on the far side of grief.

After only the first chapter, I have better defined the "hero" for my next story, providing momentum toward a sustainable idea for my third novel. For that reason alone (supplying inertia), it has already been immensely beneficial to me as an author.
