Dwelling on the past is like filtering your vision through the slats of a fence that hold our dreams captive. We only see an empty void in that space, but there are boundless and beautiful possibilities, if only we broaden our view.

The idea of collective effervescence touches something at my core, which ironically, is exactly what it does to those that you share it with.

The way that Brene establishes the link between social media and true connection is simple but brilliant.

So many words and emotions are nestled inside that quiet space reserved for the connection between souls.

While talking about participants in a survey... "Over and over, participants talked about their concern that the only thing that binds us together now is shared fear and disdain, not common humanity, shared trust, respect, or love."

This was such a poignant but accurate reflection of how so many people see the world today. We need to embrace much more of the latter and less of the former.
