Gregory is starting Watson and Holmes - A Study In Black
I enjoyed this fresh take of Sherlock Holmes and making it set in the US and an African American perspective. Sherlock Holmes has been the center of a Renaissance due to the success of Elementary and Sherlock including Watson which is returning for a second season. Fantastic novel and you will enjoy as both new and old fans.

Gregory is starting Star Trek February 1984
I’ve finished reading issue 4 of this series and pleased with the ending. The revealing of the real mastermind are Yarnek who is continuing his game as was depicted from his first appearance from the original series. Kirk and Kor must work together to save the universe from war.
It felt good to read this again and truly a classic.

Gregory is finished with Kick-Ass: The New Girl, Vol. 1
The new Kick Ass is interesting and has a reason to wear the costume that is different from the Original. I am glad that she isn't stereotypical because Black Women in the media, especially Comics. The new Kick Ass is more of a antihero because she's targeting Drug Dealers and cartels to take care of her family and community. The artwork is good and the storyline is tight. Eager to reading the next volume.

Gregory is finished with Unfollow, Vol. 1: 140 Characters
This story is a excellent premise on the power of Social media and it's impact on our lives. The protagonist, a Mark Zuckerberg type character is dying and chooses 140 people from diverse backgrounds around the world
to inherit his vast fortune after his death.
The catch is that they must stay alive to maintain it and are hunted one by one. The artwork is flawless and realistic. The playoff will be worth it.

Gregory is finished with The Legend of Wonder Woman Vol. 1: Origins
I loved this take on Wonder Woman told in a contemporary slant. The tale presented issues of Gender, Sexuality, and Race in the story without disregarding the issues which America and the world in the 1940's dealt with in that era. The story is what America would and still be in our modern world 77 years later. It was also a celebration of Wonder Woman's 75th anniversary. The story is a jumping point for new fans .
