I am 100% on board with Eddie Izzard telling me stories for 15 hours, this is amazing.

That is probably the longest lasting Chekov's gun I've ever encountered, which isn't necessarily a good thing since I had utterly forgotten about that detail.

Seriously with the unprecedented perspective shift and deliberately vague internal monologue just to hide the big reveal a little longer? Boo.

Well that was a weird rom com moment, especially as a flashback given what's already happened in the current timeline with one of the characters involved...

I'm still enjoying this, but I am slightly salty that the character I found most interesting has already been pretty much taken out of the story as a (fairly obvious, was kind of hoping it would be a feint) baddie...

This is unrelated to the actual book, but I FINALLY pegged why the narrator sounds so familiar when I realized she narrated Winter Tide. It was driving me crazy.

Look I consider myself a pretty attentive reader and that I have a pretty good memory for characters and places and names and such, even weird fantasy ones, but I seriously have zero memory of the character who was just mentioned. This is not a good thing in your sprawling, multi-plot book.

This seems like a good time to introduce yet another brand new POV character.
