Getting better.

Enjoyed the last few days of reading a bit more than earlier in the book. I hope we have more surprises towards the end of the book. I think I’ll start a new series after this book before going on with the third book in the series.

Enjoyed the last two chapters very much.

Too much action, preferred the first book with more talk and intrigue

Yeah, not quite as good as the second book. The battles are getting a bit boring and nothing interesting is happening to the characters. Just feels very slow.

Enjoyed the beginning of the book much more than the middle. David’s love story with Dora is not very interesting and far too prolonged.

Not as good as the first book so far, but think it will pick up soon and finish with a bang.

Enjoying this book quite a bit, and I like how I can't predict what will happen. I do wish I cared more for some of the characters though. Nathair is perhaps my favourite character so far.

Ok, I'm bored. WAYYY too much science-y stuff in this book that I couldn't care one hoot about. I couldn't care less how all these things worked. Make me care about the stakes, the characters!

I love books that start slow like this, that get me caring about the characters and make me interested in learning about this new world. I also like having 3-4 POVs, but it will be difficult if they keep adding up.

Goodness, I’m almost two thirds through this book but it’s yet to get exciting. Hopefully the final third is worth it. Was disappointed that it was an alien story.

Getting more and more invested in the story and characters. A solid 3.5 stars so far.

I hope it gets better towards the end. Quite boring so far with way too much uninteresting science being explained. Don’t care at all for the main character.
