not sure if I will finish it tonight, but we are in the final stretch

I've never known much about Mon Mothma outside of being a figurehead. This book shows how she is a worth leader/successor to Palpatine. The background in this book is what keeps bringing me back. Characters and concepts I know by name get to be fleshed out if only for a moment. Poor Dak.

I have fond memories of the books. after the first arc in this, I'm not terribly impressed. There's still a lot of book to go, though.

My favorite aspect of this book is seeing the ramifications of the actions of both The Empire and the Rebel Alliance. You get a real feel for it affected the every man. The pesky romance keeps getting in the way.

The rebels did WHAT to the Death Star?

Consistently solid. I see how its a YA novel. I can't really complain because I knew that going in. removing the CW factor, it's a well written book. I like looking at the wider perception of The Empire. I like seeing the academy. I'm just ready to move on to more 'plot' things now.

This book is pretty great so far. I'm still very early in but it's incredibly solid and I already really like both leads

it's a fast read. I just need to take time to actually read it. Chuck Wendig is telling a really interesting story and his dialogue is engaging, but his narrative feels a little too loose in places.

It has been a long, long time since I've been this captivated by a book. It feels like coming home. I am forcing myself to but it down for the night.

So far, it's not at all supernatural. There's definitely foreboding. Mostly it's just a sad story about a guy who makes bad decisions. Still very good :D
