Lycan Davis is reading The End of Reason: A Response to the New Atheists
Good book. Addresses atheistic arguments against Christianity, primarily focused on those leveled by Sam Harris, but also addressing those of other prominent atheists. A little heady at times, but then this is for those that are versed in apologetics. Great writing from a great mind.

I have younger kids. This book is more for parents of teenagers. That said, there's plenty of good information therein for that demographic. I'll need to revisit it in about 6-8 years. That said, I recommend this book.

Great book. Slow reading. But worth it. Shows a wonderful imagery of the contrast between God and partakers of the Christian Faith and nonbelievers trapped in sin. Totally recommended, should you wish to accept the challenge.

Lycan Davis is reading Sense and Sensibility
Very wordy. Talks about feelings. I didn't like it at all. I also didn't finish it. Made it about 200 pages in before stopping. Definitely a book/ writer for women. This suspicion was confirmed for me, later, from a woman who was familiar with Jane Austen's work. This book is for some. Not me. :)

Lycan Davis is reading A Dad's Prayers for His Daughter: Praying for Every Part of Her Life
Not written for prose. More like one to access in times of need. When the prayer is called for. But will be useful when the need arises.

Lycan Davis is reading The Magnificent Ambersons
A little slow in the middle, but the bittersweet ending is worth it. A nice read from a largely forgotten author, overall.

Lycan Davis is reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Good stuff. Slow reading due to dialect and language. I originally read in 10th grade English class. (90-91) Sadly, I can't imagine they'd allow it these days. Unfortunate.

Lycan Davis is reading A Need to Kill: The True-Crime Account of John Joubert, Nebraska's Most Notorious Serial Child Killer
Really good true crime book. I remember when these murders were taking place. Very chilling to relive that time. Very fast read. Two thumbs up.

Lycan Davis is reading A New Kind of Apologist: *Adopting Fresh Strategies *Addressing the Latest Issues *Engaging the Culture
A little disjointed. Multiple authors. Probably would do well to give a second reading. Was a little disappointed, to be honest.

Lycan Davis is reading The Lottery and Other Stories
A collection of short stories. Early ones have many bleak characters/stories. Desperate at times. Later stories were just odd. Not very uplifting. Still, captivating, at times. Interesting. The title story is legendary and good. 7.5/10. Worth checking out. Probably not worth revisiting often.

Lycan Davis is reading The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask: (With Answers)
Very good book of apologetics. A few holes (the answer to the criticism concerning polygamy in the Bible was wanting.) , but overall solid. Is recommend taking notes as you go. Fortunately, the final chapter sums up each chapter in turn. I'd recommend for believers. Not so much for critics.

Kafkas Metamorphosis meets Heller's Catch 22. Very light hearted story with a good pace. If recommend, completely.
