Excellent and terrifying

Incredible- deep, dark, intense, hallucinatory- I see why it’s a classic

one definitely finds a common thread when sampling this diverse (yes!) collection of beat poets. I have always loved the beats. Took a long time to savor this collection but got a jolt of energy after reading Allen Ginsberg’s classroom lectures on the art and craft of the Beats. His clarity cut through the hype and gave these poems a respectable setting - their aim was pure and these (often filthy) poems do shine.

Incredible- witty, brilliant, scintillating and thoroughly enjoyable. If you love to read or love to write - poetry or prose - you must take the short time necessary to read these brief lectures. Wonderful experience.
