I don't know why, but I'm having such a hard time getting into this.

Me realizing that I'm reading a Romeo and Juliet retelling and that both Romeo and Juliet die in the end, so like, are the MCs in this retelling going to die too?

So, I'm only 30 some pages in. This is my second Jennifer Armentrout book and like the first one I read, Storm and Fury, it's off to a very slow start. Hopefully, it doesn't take as long as it did in Storm and Fury to pick up. There's so much hype around this book and I can't wait to get into it more!

Part 2! I'm just waiting... waiting for it to pick the fuck up omg

These chapters are SO long. It's like a continuous stream of dialogue.

I never find planning in a book interesting and we spent so many pages hearing about how they're planning this revolt. It's boring me and the action is dull. Hopefully, it gets better?

I'll admit, I'm a tad intrigued, but it's off to a really slow start.

This book is ridiculous.

Still not a fan of the writing style. It's strange, like a mixture of third person omniscient AND limited at the same time? Plus, I feel like I'm supposed to be laughing, but these jokes/comments are just so out of place and feel forced. I want to drop, but I need to finish lol

The writing style is different. I'm not used to it, but hopefully, it gets better?
