I’m loving this book. I love the dialogue, banter, details, everything!

I’m really loving this so far. Funny thing is one of the lines mentions Jack Reacher. My husband is watching the TV show, Reacher, as I’m reading! How funny

“A Chinese American grad student in her class came to her office hours and admitted that when she was in high school, she and her friends all ‘wanted to be white.’ My friend stopped her. ‘No, you didn’t,’ she said. ‘No one wants to be white. You wanted to be human.’”

This really hit a nerve— what an eye-opening way to put it. So relatable, unfortunately.

I’m giggling. I love how the author is making fun of the “one bed” trope.

Not enjoying the writing much. Feels very much like a Wattpad book. Everything is mentioned. She grabs her pen. She grabs her notebook. She takes the order. She turns to fill up the cup. She puts the order on the line. Etc etc
