The author, in his narrations, comes across as judgmental, cynical and wholly unlikable. On top of this, his use of strange and crude similes, metaphors and comparisons are extremely off- putting. So far, I am surprised anyone would publish this and think it showed them in a good light and that they thought they had anything to say other than “look at this shithole, isn’t it ugly and full of ugly people”
