I'm a lot less interested now that this is becoming just a sci-fi story. Evil upper class, special girl with the ability to save her people. I'm not even really sure what the Collective programed the other kids to even do? Mindless obedience? but theyre already keeping secrets. It's too vague imo
The stories are fine, a splash of mexican culture, but I'm not really invested

I love the inner monologue so much. Bug's feeling of otherness is SO on point, and I love how invested they are in finding out what their uncle needs/wants from them. I like that other kid Griffin too, he seems chill so far

This book is actually horror

Nina's anxiety is real and I appreciate it. Their relationship got pretty hot pretty fast tbh

I really love this. The haunting stuff is effective and Bug's feelings are SO REAL lol the disassociation and the feeling of otherness

really telling that Regina wants to be more like Tonto - anything to connect her back to the reservation, and also feel accepted among the kids in her new area

Regina's having a little more personality - she wants her homeland and to be respected. the sister just wants friends, not so much her culture

Not a lot of character in these characters lol but she is loyal to her family and culture, she's not sure how to react to everything

sometimes she mentions stuff so fast. like they got to the movies, saw the movies and decided to so something else in like 3 sentences and I feel like I miss it half the time lol
