Here CS Lewis demonstrates his capacity for writing that is poetic, philosophical and romantic all at the same time with his essays. His essay on Tolkien highlights the life-edifying nature of mythology, saying that epic novels like Tolkien's, "take all the things we know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by 'the veil of familiarity'.

I feel like this should be titled, "This is going to be fun"! Because a few minutes in and I'm already dying from the hilarious anecdotes.

Thus the long journey begins.
