So this is chick lit.... Took me a bit to realize the casual reference to a BJ didn't actually mean a PB&J 8-O

Though dated, I like this attempt to explore and humanize the story. The Biblical telling is brief. Here we don't have the brief Mary went to visit Elizabeth, but an exploration of what she, her parents, Joseph, and even a bit of what relations and neighbors might be thinking. Some reviewers dislike the romance aspect, but imagine how deeply Joseph must have loved Mary. How frightened Mary must have been.

This is my absolute favorite Vampire novel ever! Listening to the audiobook this time.

I have to agree with a reviewer who found Mary and Joseph's idea of/relationship with God as portrayed in this story very interesting.

This was one of the books from my Nana's collection (mostly different versions of the Bible) that my Gumpa handed down to me after she died. I haven't read it in a few years and am looking forward to revisiting it.
