Yup, Aaron is the red flag.

The audacity the use the name Aaron as the red-flag guy. 😭

So the book DOES have a plot.

It only took us halfway to FINALLY reach the starting point of it.🧍‍♀️

“I like you, Nathan.”

CLARITY, FINALLY. 😭 This is the exact thing I wanted, I just wished it didn’t take this long. 💀

“I can’t believe you think I could ever reject you, Anastasia,” he said in shock. “You have no idea, do you? The lengths I’d go to if you’d let me. What I’d do to make you happy.”

This is sweet though, I’ll give him that.

“Ryan is propped up against her headboard, one arm wrapped around her and the other stroking her hair as she sits between his legs and sobs into his chest.”

I’m so done with this shit. I can feel my rating for this book slowly going down by each chapter. 🧍‍♀️

When I heard this book was spicy, I thought it meant it was spicy in the sense of the chemistry and writing.

But I’m starting to realise it’s spicy because they do it A LOT of times. 🧍‍♀️

I am so confused by the logistics of this. 🧍‍♀️

You know what. I’m not even gonna try to understand.

Am I missing something here?🧍‍♀️Or is my mindset just so different from the mindset of the people living this culture?

Personally, I do NOT tolerate this push and pull thing, and I would rather seek clarity on what exactly is relationship between me and my love interest.

And yes, I understand that Stassie is commitment-phobe which she’s more than allowed to be. But what she’s not allowed is to be openly jealous to Nathan about him hooking up with someone else.

“Are you jealous, Anastasia?”

“I’m annoyed You made me look like a fool in front of our friends!” 

“You had me running all over campus when you were quite literally where I’ve wanted you the whole time. Imagine how foolish I feel.”

Y’ALL, I’M ANNOYED. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS. 😭 I feel old for ACTUALLY wanting characters seeking clarity instead of playing games like these. 🧍‍♀️

Normally, I’m a sucker for these things. But this is like WAY TOO EARLY in the book and there’s no foundation for this that makes it swoon-worthy for me. 🤷‍♀️

I thought it would be Ryan but turns out it’s Aaron (maybe?).

Further investigation still required before I can make a conclusion.

I tried reading this before but I wasn’t in the mood, so I couldn’t even get pass the first chapter.

But my second try? I’m digging it. This is a FULL-OM COLLEGE ROM-COM AND I AM HOOKED (so far 👀).

“The blood in my veins burns with rage. This Chatelain fool thinks he can fuck with what is mine? Hurting Scarlet is a direct attack against me and Rand knows it. It’s a declaration of war.”

I’m beginning to think this is my love language. 🧍‍♀️
