Ayşe Tekşen is on page 282 of 357 of I Am the Messenger
I've read Ulysses, for God's sake, and half the works of Shakespeare. But I'm still hopeless, useless, and practically pointless.

So Long

This is no book;
Who touches this, touches a man;
(Is it night? Are we here alone?)
It is I you hold, and who holds you;
I spring from the pages into your arms—decease calls me forth.

O how your fingers drowse me!
Your breath falls around me like dew—your pulse lulls the tympans of my
ears;
I feel immerged from head to foot;
Delicious—enough.

The Aleph: The only place on earth where all places are—seen from every angle, each standing clear, without any confusion or blending.
---
Truth cannot penetrate a closed mind. If all places in the universe are in the Aleph, then all stars, all lamps, all sources of light are in it, too.

I don't want people to be worried about me. There's nothing to worry about. I don't want people to try and understand that. And I don't understand yet. I don't want people to interfere. I don't want people in my head, picking out this and that, permanently picking up the broken pieces of me. If that's what friends do, then I don't want any.

"DO I DARE DISTURB THE UNIVERSE? That question, those two lines of poetry, keep spinning around my head like it's asking of me."

"My name is Michael Holden." Michael Holden. "And who are you, Victoria Spring?" I can't think of anything to say because that is what my answer would be really. Nothing. I am a vacuum. I am a void. I am nothing. #Solitaire

I saw how there was a protection in success, and success was defined by threatening the minion on the other end of a cell phone, expensive pumps terrorizing the city, people stepping out of your way simply because you looked like you had more important places to be than they did. Sonewhere along the way, a man tangled up in this definition too. I just had to get to that, I decided, and no one could hurt me again.
