Mmm. Mhm. I think I get it now. Reminds me a little bit of Lessons in Chemistry with a grounded shot of Project Hail Mary. Both of those made my eyes leak. So… this is going to hurt, right?

Well, I figured everyone else was reading it so… what the hell.

One of those books that clearly inspired so many of the things that came later that got to me first. Wow.

A whole lot of shit just went down. I need a break. Poor Carl.

Okay this isn’t a real update because I was mostly just picking this out to start reading for real tomorrow, but I have to say that the prologue contains THE BEST first page of ANY BOOK I’ve ever read.

It did just get interesting, but so far how this became Blade Runner (or more importantly one of the most underrated movies of all time Bladerunner 2049) eludes me.

These books are getting better and I already thought they rocked, it’s wild

Aside from some heavy exposition usually doubled up within the dialogue and a few questionable lines about women that I can’t tell are sharp social commentary or simply evidence of a white male brain in 1968, pretty interesting so far.

I can’t tell if I’m actually listening to this book or just walking around pretending I’m a Mage in the Royal Martian Navy. I should go to bed.
