Kai is definitely my least favourite character in this book, he’s such an arse. Every time he speaks/“flirts” I’m just hoping Paedyn punches him in the face again

I’m actually kind of enjoying this, but some things are so confusing to me - why are they making all the contestants drop down/pull themselves back through a trap door? Why do they not just have stairs? Or just go into a room with a regular door? It feels like it’s literally just an excuse to have a scene where Kai is an obnoxious arsehole to Paedyn

Still kind of confused as to what these trials are even for? It’s feeling very ‘Hunger Games’ other than the fact that people are excited to be taking part
