Even knowing how Operation Cinder on Naboo ends, the conclusion was really solid. I feel like we aren't seeing much Kes, but that's OK. The Leia material has been on point.

And we're getting into Operation Cinder! I like the Leia / Shara dynamic. The pacing feels more even now. I want Shriv!

Good characterization so far. The art is solid. The ewoks are cute.

The last story is a fun little jaunt. The nemeses in a hospital is a clever modern take.

Story #2 is a remarkable complete little short story. The art is so-so, but the framing of the Ninja v Demon fight is brilliant. All in all a very tight production.

I looked these up for the Einstein ninja comic that starts volume 2, and it does not disappoint. Between the absurd ninja battle, the great art, and the moral quandary of nuclear weapons, this comic rocks.

The first story was probably the best; the second story with the cloud cutter felt a little too cliche and had somewhat odd art. I liked the messaging of #3, but feels the structure was a bit loose.

There's a brilliance to joining military intelligence for the express purpose of aiding a conspiracy to assassinate the head of State. The details on the methods of the conspiracy are fascinating.

The account of the founding of the seminary at Finkenwald is surprisingly engaging. I'm still wondering about the recruitment of the ordinands.

It's strange to think that Bonhoeffer is both going incredibly fast and yet too slow to save the German Church. The reluctance to take action or recognize threats among the majority of the population is alarming.

The chapter on managing breaches was particularly valuable - differentiating between breaches and accidental disclosures is often a tricky topic. The final chapters on future trends and FAQs felt a little brief.

Lots of repetitive guidance on encryption and restriction/guidance regarding access. I hadn't given that much thought to accessing records during emergencies, but there are some good points. I do wish there was a little more detail on disposal mechanisms.

Poor Neville. It's going to be tough to keep all these hippos straight. The pacing is working out well; the description of the wall is seriously detailed.

The development of the schism is painfully slow. The writing here is a bit repetitive, but that's generally OK; much of it is reminding the reader who the litany of politicans and pastors are.

I really appreciate the detailed analysis of the Fuhrer principle and how it was used in part to subvert the church into a mechanism of the Nazi party. The use of strategic language, public stunts, and exploitation of unexamined believe and national identity are reminiscent of modern times. At the same time, the failures of principled understanding to overcome demagoguery worries me.

The accounts of southern racism, the lack of principles in American theology, and the unique dedication of the Black church are interesting. There's a delicate balance is showing his developing ideas against his final notions, but I appreciate how this is handled. Greater explication of some church politics would be helpful.

The Barcelona year is interesting; there's a certain iconoclastic naivete that I really like. I wish we could see more from his three lectures; what is shared is excellent. Some attention to the political climate of Spain and its possible effects world be nice. Herr Wolf :(

A seven semester doctorate? WTF 1920s Germany! The progression of theological thought is interesting; the rejection of rigid positions is impressive. I enjoyed the commentary on the antipathy between the church and nationalist ideas.

A fascinating examination of his upbringing. Bring the privilege, the emphasis on discipline, achievement, and intention remind me of Amy Chua's book. There balance between compassion and conflict - both physical and intellectual - is well illustrated. I'll be interested to see how the effects of WWI and postwar Germany continue to shape him.

So establishing characters and plot premises, but coming along well. The balance of convenient elements with heavy Western tries and language is interesting. I'm enjoying the attention to diversity.

I figured I needed something lighter to read alongside Bonhoeffer, and E. K. Johnston recommended this. I'm just two chapters in, but so far this is fabulously over the top in all the right ways.

I've been meaning to read this for a while, and it feels more and more timely. The author's style is going to take some getting used to - it seems a bit indirect and convoluted sometimes - but this should be interesting.

Done! I looked the acceptance theme at the end of the story, and the idea that there were some who would be companions despite the conflicts. The resolution and connections back to the first story are satisfying. Ultimately, I like the balance of this book - it attends to the greasy and danger, the class and power struggles, yet retains a sense of hope, altruism, and vivacity.

Finished Rae Carson's novella. The attention to biology and environment was really neat; I wish we saw that more often in SW media. The relationship between Lexo and Lula was really well developed given the before of the story and their limited interactions; I'd love to see them again some day.

There's something really delightful about the ending to The Wine in Dreams. My concerns about the sisters are lot to rest; Derla's preceptive nature has been highlighted in a new way; and there appears to be a good of Hope and justice on Canto Bight. It's not Rose Tico justice, but it's a step forward.
