If I were in this book, the first thing I would do is slap the main character and tell him to pursue and say what he believes in. However, as of right now, he cannot speak due to his injuries. He often speaks out, but he does not do it often enough. Someone needs to help him find his voice, like when he defended his friend Doc, he never directly spoke out.

I am very different from the protagonist of "Purple Hibiscus". She has many of the characteristics that I do not have, and I have many characteristics that she does not have. For example, I am a somewhat lazy person, while she is very open, very hard working. There are very few similarities between us as we are in very different contexts of life. She grew up in a Nigerian village, while I grew up in a suburban hou..

This novel, as realistic fiction, compares to "the night circus" a fantasy-ish realistic fiction book. While "The Power of One" is told from the perspective of the main character, the Night circus is 3rd person omniscient, giving an outsider's point of view to the book. This book is very straight up, it tells one what is happening, while "The Night Circus" Is more surreal, less reality and more an illusion.

No, the characters DO NOT have any power over the plot in the book. Peekay (the Main character) is often harassed and bullied by "the Judge", a classmate who is a Nazi sympathizer and hates all that is British. He devises ways of torture against Peekay to break him. In addition, he taunts him saying that Hitler would "march the British to the sea".

The theme of this book is in the title, "the power of one". This author is trying to get across the point that no matter who you are, your one contribution can make a difference no matter what. Peekay was born during apartheid, a movement that supresses African Americans. However, even when abandoned and humiliated, he still realizes that he can change something major.

This book makes me feel like I'm actually there as it is nonfiction. People were doing the action that this character describes. In addition, the nervousness that he feels is very similar to the nervousness that we all feel when preparing for something. What we do, they do as well.

For a soundtrack to put underneath the story, I would put something that is somewhat ominous and looming, like what they put in horror movies before the bad guy jump scares the protagonist. This book is somewhat surreal and a soundtrack like that would be perfect for what this book represents

If I were the main character of this book, I would be an orphan and would have to be proper in order to still have a home. But I also think that the main character should stand in what they believe in, if you live in deplorable conditions and want to get out of there, then get out. It's better to choose another than to just do nothing and endure your punishment.

My favorite character is the main character, Edmond Dantes, a hero in war, who just returned. He is a rather round and dynamic character, as he changes many times and is a character whose true intentions are known and is a rational human being.

The Count of Monte Cristo refers to the role that Dantes obtains midway through the novel. Dantes, no longer just a seaman, gets revenge on those who unjustly imprisoned him.

Alt Title: One who is punished is Rewarded

A minor Character in this book is Fernand, he is a suitor to the main character's wife. The character is a kind of minor villain in the book, playing of a man who tries to steal the main character's female counterpart from under them. The first meeting is somewhat tense and Fernand goes off running. Fernand is the main character's cousin.

Fahrenheit 451 is a story about media censorship in what is a future time. At this time, books are banned as their contradictory nature make them a target. Fireman Guy Montag must choose between his job or what he must do.
