Yay, 1000 books read! I began using Goodreads in 2011 after Facebook transformed its Book Shelf app into a whole new page. In the past 12 years, it’s quite an accomplishment to get to this milestone!

I’m always in envy of those who quickly finish all the new books! I either have to wait for them to arrive at the local library, or to borrow friends since I can’t afford to buy a lot of books nor do I have the space. More power to all of you!

I am always so envious of the amount of books read by friends! I wish I could keep up!

I have been told by Goodreads friends that I tend to give all the books I read positive reviews and that I don’t know how to be objective about reviewing a book. I guess I just don’t have the intellectual capacity to be objective, and I know I am not smart enough to know what’s a good book and a bad book. I am simply a stupid person who doesn’t read carefully.

With what I knew now, every breath and word hummed with undercurrents and subtexts I couldn’t catch. They could be anything, they could be lethal, and I never noticed.

So far a droll, satirical and hilariously funny portrait of the privileged white girl we all wish we could be. It’s hilarious she has an obsession with Whoopi Goldberg, and uses her and constant sleeping as an escape from the memories of her parents’ deaths.

I am in love with this heartfelt and simple tale of a father and son; memories and love. It's absolutely mesmerizing and a page turner.
