So far, this is very good. Kind of reminds me of Joyce Carol Oates’ Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been?” A 13 year old girl is an unreliable narrator 1st person pov as she discusses the disappearance of her best friend. A balance of menace, anxiety, and sadness as the reader wonders how much of the narrative to believe.
