I really like this but it’s slow so far. I feel like it’s a lot of set up.

I don’t really feel anything for the MC. I really feel like O’Malley should have written a male character cause some of the stuff he makes this character think just makes me roll my eyes.

I like the premise of the story, but the names are so weird. It's supposed to be set in England but it doesn't really feel like it. The main character calls football soccer... which a British person would never say that. There are a lot of little inconsistencies like that. It breaks the immersion for me.

I bought this book 4 years ago and got 60 pages in before I got distracted. I’m finishing it this time 100 percent.

I think I like this book more than the first one.

I like that Eames is sticking with the band theme here. It makes the world seem bigger

I like this book. It's a more magical Joe Abercrombie. It has the grim dark feeling, but more fantasy elements like Dragons and goblins.
