This fascinating novel is equal parts entertaining and terrifying (imagining an alternate universe where McCain and Palin won the 2008 election). What's really scaring me is that some of the fictional measures being taken in this book in the name of security are exactly the types of policies we are seeing implemented from our very own conservative Australian government.

An extraordinary book. Very confronting reading about the daily life of a radical Islamist. I was a fan of Maajid's writing as an atheist blogger before even learning about his past, so it's gripping to go back and read about the transformational journey that lead him from radical Jihadist to staunch atheist.

This is such a good book. If you're even remotely fond of science fiction consider it a must-read.
