other than the really cringe millennial humor, these essays are really good so far. great points and great formatting.

if there’s something i know about TJR… it’s that she’s gonna bring up mick riva… it’s the mick riva literary universe and we’re all just living in it

quick thoughts:
i really was not expecting much from this. i wasn’t interested in the synopsis, but was still going to read it because it’s TJR. but, honestly? i’m blown away and i’m not even halfway through. it’s different from her other books, but i love that every one of her works has a common theme of women and how they deal with the spotlight. carrie is a bitch and doesn’t care. i love her for it.
