My god, what a magnificent first chapter.

"Tomorrow's Child" is one of the most unsettling stories I've ever read.

Totally enamored with this book. :) I'm a fool for not reading it sooner.

Bought a beautiful first edition copy of John Irving's A WIDOW FOR ONE YEAR today. Might have to read it very soon. :)

Imagine a bargain bin rip-off of Stephen King's "The Body" mixed with Joyland, topped off with a few John Irving-isms, and sprinkled with the blandest prose you've ever read . . . and you'd have this novel.

Feels like I'm finally out of my reader's block. I should finish CAMINO ISLAND today.

Re: my absence from this site as of late. I've been dealing with all-encompassing issues, specifically of the mental variety. I'm not eating, not sleeping, and I certainly can't read more than a few pages here and there. I considered not posting anything at all, but my pride has eroded to nothing.

So, that's what up with yours truly. Sorry for my inactivity. I love and miss you all.
