Nothing makes me happier than a new Cat Sebastian book. Actually squeed when I got the notification email that it came in at the library.

Someone just totally shamed me and my education for not having read this, so I have to get on it. Library patrons are harsh! (But probably right...)

This is engrossing and excellent, but unfortunately not something I can listen to while eating breakfast (and I'm not someone grossed out easily...)

Whenever the GR nominations come out, I always feel like I need to stay in my house and read for a week to catch up on 90% of the nominees I apparently missed this year.

That sad feeling when you have a corneal ulcer and stop reading for three weeks, so all your library ebooks expired plus you forget where you left off on everything else. Geez! But there's nothing like having a broken eyeball to remind you how much you love reading.

Just started this yesterday and am already two hours in. Sneaking in snippets of audio while eating my breakfast or doing the dishes. The mixture of memoir and true crime is just that engrossing.

I wish I liked this more. It is interesting enough, but I am not (and never have been, really) a fan of Orwell's writing style. Also not a fan of dystopian literature, so I was probably doomed to dislike this from the start.

This is really awesome, but heavy and hard to read for long periods of time. Sticking with it, though.

Finally got sick of copy/pasting from LJ, so just went ahead and bought it. The convenience is worth my $4, at least.

Just got this book from the library. Had no idea what it was about, but she quoted Teddy R. and used strike-through in her text, so I'm in.

Just saw the movie on New's Years, so I'm finally giving it a go. Loving it so far.

Goddammit, have to return this to the library already. Just got to some stuff that was useful, too.

Just got this from the library after a long wait. Despite knowing that Dylan's quotes are fabricated - and the lack of sources is disconcerting - I'm still finding it an interesting read. After reading "Reality Hunger" last year, which is by a different author and about the topic of how we want fiction in our memoirs, I'm still willing to give this a shot. Maybe there's truth hidden in there somewhere.

Finally bought this book, as I had to return the other copy to the library. Now I can savor it instead of trying to speed through it!

'The Black Arc Of It' was so poignant, as I lost my mom 8 years ago. One of the truest damn things I've read lately.

The writing is so freaking delicious, Thought I would start a chapter, then got to chapter 3 before I looked up and noticed time had passed. Awesome.

"Write like a motherfucker" is my new life motto.
